Casual is Wonderful!!!

I did a post yesterday about casual family portraiture. I've been snooping in my archives and realized that casual is REALLY the way to go! Check this favorite:

So ... no studio, no lights, no "posing," no forced smiles, no fancy outfits ... Sounds like a VERY bad idea for a portrait session, right??? Not so! In fact, some of my best work seems to come from family outings that weren't meant to be portrait sessions at all! Check these out. Composite Photography

Some folks think composite photography is gimmicky. Fine then! I like gimmicks! The first photo looks like I took a picture of triplets, but the model is my brother, and there's only one of him. The second photo has a ghost on the left side. See if you can find it! While looking at the third one, ask yourself: "How is the person in the mirror looking back at a person looking out a window?"
